Hourly Rate: $***** per hour + superannuation

About the Role
n
An exciting prospect is available for an experienced WHS Advisor to support the delivery of workplace health, safety and environmental initiatives across operational worksites and depots.
n
Working within a diverse construction and maintenance environment, you will provide practical WHS guidance, conduct audits and inspections, assist with incident investigations, and contribute to the ongoing improvement of safety systems and processes.
n
Key Responsibilities
n
n
Conduct WHS&E; site audits and inspections to ensure compliance across operational and contractor-delivered works.
n
Provide WHS advice and support to operational teams and managers.
n
Assist with the development and delivery of WHS information sessions and safety education initiatives.
n
Support incident reporting, investigations and corrective action processes.
n
Assist with worker rehabilitation and return-to-work programs.
n




Coordinate and support emergency planning and response activities across offices and depots.
n
Assist in the development, review and implementation of:n
n
o Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS)
n
o Risk assessments
n
o WHS Management Plans
n
n
Contribute to regular WHS reporting and performance monitoring.
n
Support the delivery of health and safety programs that meet operational and stakeholder needs.
n
n
About You
n
To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:
n
n
Previous experience in a Workplace Health and Safety position.
n
Current C Class Driver Licence.
n
Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety (or equivalent).
n
Strong understanding of WHS legislation, compliance requirements and safety management systems.
n
Experience conducting site inspections, audits and incident investigations.
n
Excellent administrative and reporting skills with a high level of attention to detail.
n
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
n
This role is based in Townsville. However requires flexibility for occasional travel to regional depot locations.
