Excel is an established civil contractor delivering bulk and detailed earthworks, remediation, service installation and civil infrastructure projects throughout Sydney. With a strong pipeline of secured work and long-term client relationships, we're continuing to grow and are looking for an experienced Senior Estimator to join our team.

We're looking for an experienced estimator with a minimum of five years' experience, preferably within the Sydney metropolitan market.

Duties may include:

n

Lead tender submissions from initial enquiry through to project handover
n
Value engineering
n
Negotiate subcontract pricing
n
Reading and interpreting drawings
n
Preparing accurate quantity take-offs
n
Attending pre-tender and post-tender site meetings
n
Maintaining and developing relationships with suppliers and sub-contractors
n
Managing Expressions of Interests
n

You'll bring:

n

n
Minimum of 5 years experience within the Sydney Metropolitan Area
n
Demonstrated success in preparing competitive tenders
n




Ability to estimate using first principles as well as using estimating software.
n
Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel and Project.
n
Ability to work collaboratively within our estimating team while also managing work independently
n
Professional approach when dealing with clients, subcontractors and colleagues
n
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
n

n
Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
