We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Sous Chef to join our team at the family owned, newly renovated Bracken Ridge Tavern, a multi-faceted rapid paced venue situated on Brisbane's northside.

This is a full-time position and you will be working at one of Brisbane's most iconic venues, Panama Jack's Steak & Rib House and Two Wise Guys Italian located within our award winning establishment.

n

We are seeking an individual with a passion for modern cuisine and experience working in a large venue.

n

Experience required to be considered for the role:

n

n
Minimum 2 years' experience in high-volume char-grilling kitchen
n
Available to work according to business requirements
n
Ability to deliver a consistently high quality dining experience for our patrons
n
Excellent knowledge of food hygiene plans and standards, HACCP and food safety
n
A positive attitude with a strong work ethic and effective communication skills
n




Work well in a rapid-paced workplace with a good temperament

Responsibilities:

n

Preparation, cooking and presentation of all food items within the kitchen
n
Responsible for the overall cleanliness and presentation of the kitchen
n
Requisition, storage, control and ordering of stock
n
Care and maintenance of equipment
n
Assisting in Menu planning
n
Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety practices
n
Responsible for the daily operation of the kitchen
n
Assisting in the cleaning of the kitchen including washing up
n
Attend on and off job training as required
