Carpe Diem Cleaning & Restoration is a Newcastle-based, family-owned business specialising in qualified restoration, remediation and cleaning services for residential, commercial and insurance clients. We help customers recover from damage, restore valuable belongings and maintain clean, healthy environments.

We are looking for Casual Restoration Labourers to join our growing team.
n
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on work, learning specialist skills and being involved in a wide variety of projects — no two days are the same.
n
About the role
n
Working alongside our experienced technicians, you will assist with a range of restoration and cleaning projects, including:
n
n
Flood and water damage restoration
n
Mould remediation and treatment
n
Fire and smoke damage restoration
n
Dry ice blasting and specialist surface restoration
n
Commercial and residential carpet and floor cleaning
n
Upholstery, leather and fabric restoration
n
Tile and grout cleaning
n
Equipment setup, pack down and maintenance
n
Site preparation, cleaning and restoration support
n
Protecting customer property and ensuring high-quality outcomes
n
n
You may find yourself helping restore a damaged home after a storm, cleaning commercial spaces, assisting with specialist restoration equipment, or working on unique restoration projects involving vehicles, machinery and valuable items.

About you

We are looking for someone who is:

Reliable, punctual and takes pride in their work

Physically capable and comfortable with hands-on tasks

Detail-focused with a strong work ethic

Professional and respectful when working in customers' homes and businesses
n
Able to follow instructions and work safely
n
Keen to learn new skills and develop within a growing business

Experience in any of the following would be an advantage:

Restoration or remediation
n
Cleaning services

Mechanical work

Trades assistance

Manufacturing

Full training will be provided for the right person.

Requirements

Current Driver's License
n
Current National Police Check (criminal background check) required
n
Current Working With Children Check (WWCC) required (or willingness to obtain one)

Current White Card
n
Reliable transport preferred

Ability to work safely in a variety of environments

Availability for weekday work (flexibility available)
