As the business continues to expand internationally, an chance has become available for an Assistant Accountant to join the Melbourne Head Office and support the day-to-day finance function.

The Opportunity Reporting to the Finance team, you'll play a key role in ensuring financial records are accurate, compliant and up to date while supporting a range of accounting activities across a fast‐paced, international business.
n
This position offers excellent exposure across the finance function and is ideal for someone looking to continue developing their accounting career within a dynamic, high‐growth environment.

Key Responsibilities
n
n
Process accounts payable and accounts receivable
n
Perform daily bookkeeping and maintain accurate financial records
n
Complete bank reconciliations
n
Assist with month-end close activities
n
Support the preparation of indirect tax returns
n
Assist with budgeting and financial reporting
n




Maintain finance documentation and provide administrative support to the accounting team
n
Identify opportunities to improve finance processes and workflows
n
n
About You
n
You are organised, detail-oriented and enjoy working in a collaborative environment where accuracy is critical.

We're looking for someone with:
n
n
Previous experience in an Assistant Accountant or similar accounting role
n
Experience with general ledger reconciliations
n
Exposure to a multi-entity and/or multi-currency environment is highly regarded
n
A tertiary qualification in Accounting or Finance
n
CA or CPA qualification (or currently working towards completion)
n
Experience with NetSuite and/or Shopify is advantageous but not essential
n
