Data Centre Operations Engineer (Site Lead/Coordinator)

Day rate | $800-$1000 per day

We're partnering with a leading organisation looking for multiple Data Centre Operations Engineers to lead the onsite deployment of high-performance computing (HPC) and AI infrastructure across customer data centres.
This is an onsite leadership role for someone who knows data centre infrastructure inside out and can take a deployment from site readiness and logistics through to installation, commissioning and customer signoff.
You’ll coordinate onsite teams, vendors and subcontractors while working closely with engineering, facilities and customer stakeholders to make sure complex AI infrastructure is installed safely, correctly and to specification.
What you'll be doing
Lead onsite deployment of AI / HPC and high-density compute infrastructure
Coordinate installation teams, vendors and subcontractors
Oversee rack & stack, structured cabling, PDUs, power, grounding and connectivity
Manage site readiness across power, cooling, floor loading, space, access and logistics
Coordinate hardware deliveries, inventory, staging and installation schedules
What we're looking for
Strong experience delivering large-scale data centre, HPC or AI infrastructure
Hands-on experience with rack & stack, cabling, power and cooling
Experience supervising field teams, contractors or subcontractors
Robust understanding of high-density data centre settings
Experience with GPU / AI infrastructure or HPC deployments is highly desirable
