Cares R Us Family Day Care Scheme is seeking a Family Day Care Coordinator to support the establishment of a new project in Kangaroo Valley and the broader Shoalhaven area.
This is a community-facing coordination role.
The position is intended to focus on local engagement, relationship building, educator recruitment support, and early project rollout.
The coordinator is expected to spend most of their time meeting people, attending local activities, following up with contacts, and building relationships across the community, rather than being desk-based.
The coordinator will help:
build local awareness of the service
engage with schools, churches, council, businesses and community groups
speak with prospective educators
support early educator recruitment and onboarding activity
represent the project at meetings, events and local activities
work with prepared forms, banners and project materials in the field

Requirements
Minimum Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care required
Strong communication and relationship-building skills
Ability to engage confidently with community members, local stakeholders and prospective educators
Ability to work independently and follow through on actions
Confidence using phones and digital systems for communication and coordination
Current Working With Children Check, or ability to obtain one
Current Police Check, or ability to obtain one
First aid Qualification with the updated code (HLTAID012 - Provide First Aid in an education and care setting).
PRODA number is their unique Registration Authority (RA) number.
Current driver licence and willingness to travel regularly across Kangaroo Valley and the wider Shoalhaven region as required.
Desirable
Diploma or higher qualification in Early Childhood Education and Care
Experience in family day care, early childhood education and care, educator support, enrolments, compliance or community engagement
Knowledge of Kangaroo Valley and surrounding Shoalhaven communities
Experience working with families, educators or community organisations.
