We are seeking an experienced Data Engineer to support and enhance the Data Analytics Platform for a leading utilities organisation in Brisbane.
This is an immediate-start contract through to the end of December ****, with the possibility of extension.
The role will be central to supporting the
organisation's Microsoft Fabric environment and its transition from an Azure SQL Enterprise Data Warehouse to Fabric.
Key responsibilities
Support, configure and enhance theMicrosoft Fabric platform.
Assist with operational activities supporting the transition from theAzure SQL Enterprise Data WarehousetoMicrosoft Fabric.
Engage with stakeholders to define and assess data and analytics requirements raised through service requests.
Provide technical advice, solution design feedback and digital service responses to support effective delivery.
Support the ongoing operation, performance and improvement of the organisation's data analytics environment.
Contribute to Enterprise Data Warehouse configuration and development activities, depending on operational demand and your technical experience.
Work with Visual Studio Code,GitHub and Azure SQLcode deployment processes.
Support DevOps deployments and changes within Azure Data Factory.
Collaborate with Data Engineers, technical teams and business stakeholders to deliver reliable and scalable data solutions.
About you
You will be an experiencedData Engineerwith strongMicrosoft Fabric and Azure data platformexpertise.
You will be comfortable supporting a live platform, managing technical enhancements and contributing to a significant data platform transition.
You will ideally bring:
Demonstrated experience supporting and enhancingMicrosoft Fabricenvironments.
Robust knowledge of Microsoft Fabric architecture, configuration and operational support.
Experience withAzure SQL and Enterprise Data Warehouseenvironments.
Understanding of data platform transitions or migrations from Azure SQL EDW to Microsoft Fabric.
Experience using Visual Studio Code and GitHub.
Knowledge ofAzure DevOps deploymentpractices.
Experience developing or modifyingAzure Data Factorypipelines.
Strong SQL development and deployment capability.
The ability to translate stakeholder requirements into practical data and analytics solutions.
Strong communication, stakeholder engagement and problem-solving skills.
