We are looking for an experienced purchasing officer to join the team with the hours being 8:30am - 5pm. You would be responsible for converting internal purchase requisitions into purchase orders, ensuring business rules and supplier requirements, then issuing orders to suppliers.

n

Please note this role will start initially as a 3 month contract/probation period with full time prospects after that for the right candidate.

n

Key responsibilities:

n

n
Convert purchase requisitions raised by branches/stock control and planners to purchase orders on suppliers
n




Schedule overseas shipments with 3PL provider and liaise with warehouse to smooth container deliveries
n
Create shipments in the system and move them in Transit
n
Monitor and update ETA and delivery status of incoming goods and communicate to stakeholders
n
Adhere to the supplier delivery management process
n

Requirements

n

Key requirements:

n

n
2+ years experience in purchasing or procurement
n
Skilled in negotiating with suppliers and managing vendor relationships
n
Ability to work under time pressure, manage multiple priorities and high-volume emails
n
Possess mid-level to solid capability in MS Office suite of products(Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook)
n
Excellent time management, analytical, problem-solving and communication skills
