Job Description
We are seeking a proactive CloudOps Engineering Lead with strong cloud production support experience, proven team leadership, and a passion for platform improvement.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments, enjoys solving complex infrastructure challenges, and is motivated to mentor and grow a CloudOps team.
Key Responsibilities
Lead, mentor, and manage CloudOps Engineers, providing technical guidance and career development support
Conduct one‐on‐ones, performance reviews, and goal‐setting sessions
Define and enforce CloudOps standards, processes, and best practices
Drive sprint planning, prioritization, and workload distribution
Act as the escalation point for critical incidents and complex infrastructure issues
Align cloud strategy with business objectives in collaboration with senior leadership
Foster a culture of continuous improvement, knowledge sharing, and accountability
Coordinate cross‐functional initiatives with development, security, and DevOps teams
Production Support & Cloud Operations
Manage and support production AWS infrastructure including EC2, ECS, Lambda, RDS, S3, CloudFront, and Load Balancers, ensuring high availability and performance
Design, review, and maintain architectures aligned with the AWS Well‐Architected Framework
Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure and application issues in a timely manner
Monitor system health and performance using tools such as CloudWatch,
New Relic, or similar platforms
Maintain and improve CI/CD pipelines to support reliable cloud deployments
Apply networking fundamentals (IP addressing, routing, DNS, firewalls) to diagnose and resolve connectivity issues
Manage resource provisioning, capacity planning, and AWS cost optimization
Oversee on‐call rotations, incident response, and post‐incident reviews (PIRs)
Track and report on SLAs, SLOs, and KPIs to measure system reliability and team performance
Required Skills & Experience
7+ years of hands‐on AWS experience, including EC2, Route 53, S3, RDS, Lambda, IAM, VPC, and CloudFormation
Proven experience mentoring engineers and managing stakeholders
Strong experience with observability and monitoring tools such as CloudWatch, New Relic, Datadog, or Prometheus
Solid networking knowledge: IP addressing, routing, NAT, VPNs, and load balancing
Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, Terragrunt, or CloudFormation
Familiarity with CI/CD tools (e.g., GitLab CI)
Demonstrated experience with AWS cost management and optimization
Excellent problem‐solving, communication, and leadership skills
Preferred Qualifications
AWS Certification (Associate or Qualified level)
Experience implementing security best practices and managing IAM policies
Containerization experience with Docker, ECS, and/or EKS
