The successful applicant will be responsible for operating the GE Lunar Prodigy system to perform bone mineral density (BMD) scans, ensuring high-quality imaging, accurate data acquisition, and patient safety. The role requires adherence to clinical protocols and effective communication with patients and healthcare providers.
Key responsibilities
Operate and maintain the GE Lunar Prodigy BMD scanner in accordance with manufacturer guidelines and clinic protocols
Prepare and position patients for scans, ensuring comfort and correct procedure execution
Acquire, process, and review scan results for accuracy and completeness
Maintain accurate records and assist with reporting where required
Ensure all work complies with safety standards, including radiation safety requirements
Coordinate with clinic staff to manage bookings and workflow efficiently
About you
Relevant tertiary qualification in medical imaging, radiography, or a related field
MUST have current accreditation/registration (e.g., with ASMIRT, MRPBA, or equivalent)
Experience operating bone densitometry equipment is desirable, but specific experience with the GE Lunar Prodigy is not essential — training will be provided
Solid attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality results
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
