We're recruiting on behalf of a well-established manufacturer in the door and entrance systems industry, based in Bangholme. They're after an experienced Welder/Fabricator to join their production team on a full time, ongoing basis.

About the role

n

You'll be hands-on in the manufacture and assembly of roller shutters and other door types, working from detail sheets and under the direction of the Production Manager and leading hands. It's a diverse role on the floor - welding, assembling, operating workshop machinery, and helping keep things running smoothly day to day.

What you'll be doing

n

n
Manufacturing and assembling roller shutters and other door products to spec
n
MIG welding drums, brackets and guides (light and heavy gauge steelwork)
n
General assembly of finished goods
n
Locating, pulling and verifying materials against production orders
n
Loading/unloading vehicles and trucks, and general goods handling
n
Operating hand tools and powered tools (drills, grinders, sanders, routers, etc.)
n
Operating or assisting with other workshop machinery
n
Basic daily/weekly maintenance on workshop equipment
n
Keeping your work area clean and safe

Following quality control procedures and hitting quality standards
n
Mentoring less experienced staff on standard manufacturing procedures
n

What you'll bring

n

A Trade Certificate (essential)
n
Solid MIG welding and general steelwork experience - light or heavy gauge
n
Manufacturing/fabrication experience is highly regarded
n
A safety-first mindset and willingness to follow WHS procedures
n
Reliability and a strong work ethic - this is a hands-on, physical role
n

Hours: Full time, 38 hours/week, Monday to Friday

Reports to: Production Manager

Physical demands: This is an active floor-based role involving standing, walking, lifting, bending and working with your hands for extended periods - further detail available on request
