This role is ideal for someone with at least 1 year of accounting experience who is eager to expand their technical skills and progress towards a CA or CPA qualification.

About the Role:
n
As a Corporate Accountant, you'll play a key role in supporting the day-to-day finance function while contributing to month-end reporting, compliance, and process improvement initiatives. You'll gain hands-on experience across multiple areas of corporate accounting and have the opportunity to grow alongside an experienced finance team.
n
Key Responsibilities:
n
n
Assist with month-end close activities, including journals, reconciliations and variance analysis.
n
Maintain prepayments, accruals and fixed asset registers.
n
Prepare depreciation and amortisation journals.
n
Reconcile balance sheet accounts and support accurate financial reporting.
n
Process supplier invoices, payment runs and employee expense claims.
n
Maintain supplier records and support vendor onboarding.
n
Raise and manage intercompany and third-party invoices.
n
Monitor outstanding receivables and reconcile AP and AR subledgers.




n
Complete daily bank reconciliations.
n
Prepare quarterly Business Activity Statements (BAS).
n
Support annual tax compliance activities in conjunction with external advisers.
n
Assist with external audit requirements by preparing supporting documentation and responding to audit queries.
n
Maintain accurate financial records within a cloud-based accounting system.
n
Contribute to continuous improvements across finance processes and controls.
n
Assist with finance systems enhancements and data migration projects as required.
n

About You:
n
You'll be a motivated and detail-oriented accounting professional who enjoys working in a collaborative environment and is keen to continue developing your career.
n
n
A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Commerce or a related discipline.
n
1 - 3 years' experience in accounting, finance operations or professional services.
n
Commenced, or intending to commence, your CA or CPA qualification.
n
A sound understanding of double-entry accounting, GST and financial statements.
n
Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations and month-end processes.
n
Robust Microsoft Excel skills and experience using cloud-based accounting software (such as Sage Intacct, Xero, NetSuite or similar).
n
Excellent attention to detail, strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
n
Strong written and verbal communication skills with a professional approach to stakeholder management.
n
