Job Description
At PMHC every employee plays a part in ensuring we work

To help us achieve
this we are seeking an experienced RegionalGallery Curator to join
our Glasshouse team.
The
successful candidate will provide leadership and creative direction for the
Glasshouse Regional Gallery, ensuring effective stewardship of Council's art
collection and the delivery of a diverse, high-quality exhibition and events
program that engages the community and enhances the region's cultural profile.
To succeed in this
role, you will have relevant tertiary qualifications in Visual Arts, Fine Arts,
Arts Management, Museum Studies or a related discipline, along with extensive
experience in a comparable role within a gallery, museum or cultural institution.
You will bring demonstrated expertise in exhibition development, curation, and
collection management, supported by strong leadership capability and experience
delivering both strategic and operational outcomes.
To succeed
in this role you will have:
Demonstrated expertise in exhibition development, curation, design and collection management within a gallery or cultural institution.
Strong leadership and people management skills, with experience mentoring and developing staff and volunteers.
Highly developed communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence, present and work effectively with diverse audiences, artists and partners.
Thorough knowledge of gallery operations, including relevant legislation, policies, procedures, and industry standards in NSW.
Proven ability to plan and deliver exhibitions, events, workshops, and public program initiatives that drive participation and audience growth.
Robust financial, analytical and strategic skills, with experience managing budgets, using data to inform decisions, and fostering partnerships with cultural organisations and funding bodies.




Current Working with Children Check (WWCC)
On a
typical day this role will:
Lead and manage the planning, programming and delivery of the GlasshouseRegional Gallery's annual exhibition and events program.
Curate exhibitions and develop engaging artistic, cultural andeducationalprogramsfor diverse community and school audiences.
Oversee day-to-day gallery operations, ensuring compliance with industrystandards and best practice.
Manage and care for Council's art collection in accordance with policy andprofessional standards.
Build strong relationships with artists, cultural organisations, governmentand funding partners, while seeking grant funding, sponsorship andpartnershipopportunities.
Collaborate across teams and lead staff and volunteers to enhance visitorexperience, while monitoring visitation, feedback and financial performance todrive continuous improvement and audience growth.
Remuneration and Benefits
Employment Type: Full time, Permanent 35 hours per
week
Salary (exclusive of super): Starting in the range of $101,015 to $113,067depending on skills and experience
