About the Role
n
Limelight People are recruiting Mental Health Clinicians to join a dedicated 26 Years+ Community Mental Health Program providing high-quality, recovery-oriented care to adults experiencing mental health challenges.
n
This opportunity is suited to an experienced mental health professional seeking to work within a supportive multidisciplinary team delivering evidence-based assessment, treatment and therapeutic interventions.
n
You will support consumers throughout their mental health journey, providing urgent and routine clinical assessments, safety planning, recovery-focused care planning and ongoing therapeutic support across community and bed-based settings.
n
Working within a trauma-informed and culturally sensitive framework, you will collaborate with consumers, carers, families and multidisciplinary teams to promote recovery, wellbeing and continuity of care.

Roster & Travel Requirements
n
n
Based within a Victorian community mental health service
n
Participation in a 7-day roster cycle, including afternoon shifts
n
Travel within the service area may be required
n
Flexible work arrangements available depending on service requirements
n
n
Key Responsibilities
n
n
Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments, including urgent acute and routine assessments.
n
Undertake risk assessments and support safety planning with consumers and carers.
n
Deliver evidence-based clinical interventions within a recovery-oriented framework.
n
Develop, review and evaluate treatment and recovery plans.
n
Provide individual, group and family therapeutic interventions.
n
Support consumers experiencing acute episodes of mental illness through assessment, treatment and recovery.
n
Collaborate with consumers, carers, families, community services and multidisciplinary teams.
n
Provide psychoeducation and support relating to mental health treatment.
n
Monitor consumer wellbeing and facilitate access to appropriate services.
n
Maintain accurate clinical documentation in line with legislative and organisational requirements.
n
Participate in clinical supervision, case reviews, handovers and multidisciplinary meetings.
n
Contribute to quality improvement activities, service development and clinical governance.
n
n
Requirements Applicants must hold one of the following:
n
n
Registered Nurse with current AHPRA registration and postgraduate qualification in Mental Health Nursing; or
n
Approved Social Work degree or qualification eligible for Australian Association of Social Workers membership; or
n
Registered Psychologist with current AHPRA registration; or
n
Registered Occupational Therapist with current AHPRA registration.

Additional requirements:
n
n
Minimum 2 years' post-registration experience within mental health.
n
Current Victorian Driver's Licence.
n
Demonstrated understanding of contemporary mental health practice and recovery-oriented care.
n
Knowledge of the Victorian Mental Health and Wellbeing Act **** and relevant mental health standards.
n
Strong clinical assessment, communication and decision-making skills.
n
Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
n
Commitment to trauma-informed and culturally sensitive practice.
n
n
Desirable
n
n
Experience within community mental health, acute mental health or tertiary mental health services.
n
Experience supporting consumers with alcohol and other drug (AOD) related needs.
n
Knowledge of Mental Health Act processes, including assessment orders and variations.
n
Understanding of family violence frameworks, including FVISS, CISS and MARAM.
n
Commitment to reflective practice and continuous professional development.
