Benalla Church Street Surgery is seeking a dedicated and compassionatePractice Nursewith a passion for quality improvement to join our healthcare team on afull-time basis.
This is an exciting opportunity to work in a busy general practice providing essential patient care and support within a collaborative setting.
Key responsibilities
Provide direct patient care including wound dressing, injections, immunisations and blood pressure monitoring
Assist with minor surgical procedures and clinical examinations as directed by medical practitioners
Maintain accurate and detailed patient records in accordance with clinical governance standards
Administer medications and manage patient medications as per practice protocols
Provide patient education and health advice on preventative care and treatment options
Maintain a clean, safe and hygienic clinical environment adhering to infection prevention and control standards
Assist in quality improvement projects
Contribute to the smooth running of the practice through effective communication and teamwork
What we're looking for
Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA
Demonstrated experience working in general practice or primary healthcare settings
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Proficiency in using practice management software and electronic health records
A commitment to maintaining professional development and staying current with clinical best practice




Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative healthcare team
Sound knowledge of infection control and workplace health and safety requirements
Knowledge of current immunisation schedules, diabetes management, asthma management, enhanced primary care items, infection control, CPR and emergency resuscitation techniques, equipment & drugs.
