Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified teacher who is passionate about creating meaningful educational pathways for young people with SEND, SEMH, medical needs and those who are unable to access mainstream education.

Pay: £****** - £****** per day

Key Responsibilities
n
n
Carry out baseline assessments across core curriculum areas to identify learners' strengths, attainment levels and gaps in learning.
n
Develop personalised KS4 curriculum pathways aligned with EHCP outcomes, learner aspirations and appropriate qualifications such as GCSEs, Functional Skills and ASDAN.
n
Coordinate the creation and regular review of comprehensive Pupil Passports, ensuring they reflect each learner's strengths, needs, interests, barriers to learning and successful teaching strategies.
n
Lead curriculum planning in collaboration with learners, parents, carers and Local Authorities.
n
Monitor learner attendance, engagement, wellbeing, academic progress and progress towards EHCP outcomes.
n
Ensure reasonable adjustments, scaffolding, communication strategies and personalised support are consistently embedded throughout teaching.
n
Prepare progress reports and contribute to statutory EHCP documentation and Annual Reviews.
n
Maintain high standards of safeguarding, compliance and educational quality across all EOTAS packages.
n

We're Looking For Someone Who Has
n
n
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
n
Extensive experience working with learners with SEND, SEMH and complex additional needs.
n
A thorough understanding of the KS4 curriculum and alternative education provision.
n
Excellent knowledge of EHCPs, Annual Review processes and person-centered planning.
n
Experience designing personalised curriculum pathways and differentiated learning programmes.
n
Excellent communication skills and the confidence to build positive relationships with families, Local Authorities and professionals.
n
The ability to analyse learner progress and use assessment information to inform educational planning.
n
A compassionate, flexible and solution-focused approach.
n
A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
n
An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
n
n
Desirable
n
n
National Award for SEN Coordination (NASENCO) or equivalent SEND leadership experience.
n
Experience delivering or coordinating EOTAS or Section 19 provision.
n
Knowledge of GCSE, Functional Skills, ASDAN and alternative accreditation pathways.
n
Experience supporting learners transitioning into Further Education, employment or apprenticeships.
n
Understanding of trauma-informed practice and relational approaches.
n
