Position: Trade-Qualified Structural Mechanical Supervisor

Location: Sydney

Job Type: 6month casual contract with view to permanency

Pay Rate: $70 – $95 + per hour – Depending on experience

The Opportunity
n
We are partnering with a leading tier-one industrial and construction contractor to find an experienced, hands‐on Structural Mechanical Supervisor. You will lead site installation, structural steel erection, mechanical plant assembly, and piping.
n
Key Responsibilities
n
n
Supervise & Lead: Direct site crews, sub-contractors, and trade personnel daily.
n
Safety First: Drive stringent WHS compliance, run toolbox talks, and lead by example.
n
Project Delivery: Coordinate site activities to meet tight schedules, quality standards, and budget constraints.
n
Technical Execution:



Read and interpret complex structural and mechanical drawings, QA documentation, and scopes of work.
n
Stakeholder Engagement: Liaise smoothly with Project Managers, client representatives, and site engineers.

Skills & Experience
n
n
Trade Qualified: Relevant mechanical or structural trade qualification (e.g., Fitting,
Boilermaker/Welder).
n
Supervisory Experience: Proven track record supervising
structural/mechanical
installation on industrial, mining, or heavy construction sites.
n
Safety Tickets: Current White Card, valid Driver's License
n
Communication: Solid leadership skills with the ability to mentor tradespeople and resolve site conflicts quickly.
