What you'll be doing
n
As a Registered Nurse in the Paediatric Unit, you will provide high-quality, evidence-based nursing care to infants, children and adolescents, ensuring positive experiences and outcomes for patients and their families.
n
n
Deliver person-centred, family-focused nursing care that meets the individual needs of paediatric patients
n
Assess, monitor and respond to changing patient conditions in a busy clinical environment
n
n
n
Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams to support treatment, discharge planning and continuity of care
n
Supervise, mentor and support enrolled nurses, assistants in nursing and students during clinical placement
n
Advocate for children and families while promoting safe, efficient and culturally respectful healthcare delivery
n
n
Essential Criteria
n
n
Registration: Current Registration as a Registered Nurse with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) Selection Criteria: 1.
Demonstrated experience in Paediatric Nursing and evidence of participation in own professional development and commitment to maintain competence and enhancement of skills.
n
2. Demonstrated understanding of evidence-based best practice and its contribution to changing practice and policies within the organisation.
n
3. Demonstrated ability to ensure patients, carers, and families are well informed, engaged and confident about their care and treatment, within the scope of a Registered Nurse.
n
4. Demonstrated effective interpersonal skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work in a multidisciplinary team.
n
