About the Role
Are you an experienced allied health assistantlooking to make a significant impactto the lives of children and families?
Have you ever wondered whata career in thespecialist sexual assault sectormight be like?
JoinSASH's Sexual AssaultSupport Servicesteamas an Allied Health Assistantinafull-time, ongoingpositionworking80hours per fortnightbased at The RoyalChildren'sHospital in Parkville.
You willberesponsible forperforming a broad range of clinical support and administrative duties, involvinga high levelof interaction with children and their families and various staff and professionals within and outsidethe organisation.
Thisrole isintegral insupportingefficient andtimelyaccess to specialist therapeutic sexual assault support services for children and their families, and promotinga child-centred,
family focused approach to all phases of intervention atSASH.The role will also support the leadership team with administrative and clinical quality improvement projects to optimise client care and experience.
Classification for this position will be Allied Health Assistant, Grade 3 (IN30 - $ 68,****** per annum pro rata, plus super) from the Health and Allied Services, Managers and Administrative Workers Enterprise Agreement.
Whatyou'llachieve:
Successfullysupport eligible children and families to access specialist sexual assault service.
Interact positively with children, young people, families and RCH staff and clinicians.
Ensure ongoing excellence in service delivery by active contributionto continuous improvement initiatives.
Your skills and experience:
Previousexperience in an allied health assistant role, or related healthfields
Formal qualification in allied healthassistanceorequivalent
Previousexperience working with databases and health record management and booking systems is desirable.
AboutSASH
SASHis a directorate of the Royal Children's Hospital and a specialist sexual assault service.
SASH provides counselling and support for children who have experienced sexual harm or engaged in harmful sexualised behaviour and their family members and carers living in theBrimbankMelton or Western Melbourne areas (Moonee Valley, Maribyrnong, Melbourne Hobsons Bay and Wyndham LGAs) or who are inpatients at the the RCH.Services are provided at the service's community sites in Melton, Werribee and at the RCH.
SASH also provides 24/7 sexual assault crisis response support at the RCH.
