About the Role
In this role you will have the opportunity to use your exceptional administrative skills and passion for people to make a real difference in the lives of nurses and midwives!
You will be an experienced administrative professional providing quality administrative and secretarial support to the Public Sector Team.
This role is based in our West End office with hybrid working options available.
This is a permanent full-time role
Key responsibilities of the role will include:
Provide administration, secretariat, database, and general support to QNMU staff and members.
Maintaining accurate files through record management systems
Independently carry out a range of administrative responsibilities and other duties as required including but not limited to logistical support and travel arrangements.
Use a range of equipment, office and/or IT software and systems including the Microsoft Office Suite to a proficient level.
About You
Working as part of a busy team, you will possess a skilled demeanour with a strong work ethic and the demonstrated ability to work under pressure and to meet deadlines.
Consistently displaying a collaborative and team-focused approach to your work, you will have the ability to handle sensitive information and maintain confidentiality at all times.
To be successful in this role you will possess:
Intermediate skills in the Microsoft Office Suite;
Highly organised and able to prioritise tasks while supporting the administration requirements of multiple staff members;
A mature, personable and professional customer service approach to work;
Well-developed written and verbal communication skills;
Proficient in the use of office software such as Microsoft Office or similar
Demonstrates initiative, discretion and good judgement
Demonstrated sound level written and verbal communication skills coupled with sound level interpersonal skills
Demonstrated commitment to QNMU's values, purpose and trade unionism in general
Demonstrated ability to work as a team member and take a collaborative approach to work
Demonstrated ability to be self-directed, establish priorities, use initiative and be proactive in raising and dealing with issues
Remuneration of $81,446 per annum
5 weeks annual leave with 17.5% leave loading
