Geelong Diesel Services is seeking an experienced Diesel Mechanic to join our team in North Geelong, VIC. As a full-time Diesel Mechanic, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and repairing heavy-duty diesel engines and equipment, ensuring our clients' operations run smoothly and efficiently.

What you'll be doing
n

Diagnose, service, and repair a wide range of diesel-powered trucks and machinery
n
Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tune-ups, and safety inspections
n
Troubleshoot and repair complex mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
n
Liaise with clients to understand their needs and provide accurate estimates
n
Maintain detailed records of work performed and parts used
n
Ensure a safe and clean working setting
n
Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and safety standards
n

What we're looking for
n
n
Formal qualifications in Automotive Diesel Mechanics or equivalent
n
Minimum 5 years of experience as a Qualified Diesel Mechanic, preferably in a commercial or industrial setting
n
Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills
n
Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on technical skills
n
Familiarity with contemporary diesel engine technologies and diagnostic toolsEffective communication skills to liaise with clients and team members
n
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
n
Commitment to safety and quality workmanship
n
Must be an Australian permanent resident
