We're looking for an Operations Support -Production Engineer to join our team and provide critical engineering support across our Sydney and Wagga Wagga Operations Centers.
This is a hands‐on role that ensures the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of a diverse range of chemical and gas production facilities.
What you will enjoy doing
Lead and support engineering activities across multiple production facilities
Conduct HAZOPs, risk assessments, and ensure regulatory compliance
Manage end-to-end project delivery including design, documentation, stakeholder engagement, and EMOC processes
Prepare and manage CapEx proposals and budgets
Investigate incidents and support audits (TGA, ISO, SafeWork NSW)
Provide troubleshooting and reliability support to maintenance teams
Perform monthly gas‐loss reporting and implement corrective actions
Collaborate with Production and Maintenance teams to meet safety, compliance, and productivity goals
What makes you great
A bachelor's degree in mechanical or chemical / Process Engineering
Minimum of 3‐ 5 years' experience in the gas or related industry
Experience in hazardous plant operations or MHF facilities is highly regarded
Knowledge of Process Hazard Analysis and Australian Standards
Familiarity with NSW WHS Act **** and WHS Regulation ****
Cross‐disciplinary knowledge (e.g., PLCs, electrical systems) is a plus

In this dynamic position, you'll be involved in supporting and improving operations across multiple production areas,



including Dissolved acetylene and nitrous oxide production, Helium trans‐fill and special gases plants, Dry ice and air gases cylinder filling, CO2, N2O, SO2, and NH3 cylinder and drum filling and Acetone recovery plant.
You'll lead HAZOPs and risk assessments, manage engineering projects from concept to completion, and ensure compliance with NSW Major Hazard Facility (MHF) regulations and internal safety standards.
