Job Description
Inspire People is partnering with Acora, a progressive full-stack, full-service business technology services partner built for the AI era, to appoint a Technical Program Lead with Microsoft Azure and Microsoft Fabric (essential) and desirable skills in C#, Apache Spark, PySpark, KQL, and Databricks, and AI exposure. This opportunity is suited to candidates with either a strong Technical Architecture background who have progressed into technical leadership and delivery roles, with strong customer stakeholder engagement skills. This is a contract role based in Sydney, for an initial 6 month period with the opportunity for a permanent role. Competitive day rate.

Role Overview
n
As Technical Delivery Lead you will own and drive the technical delivery programme for a major enterprise customers, providing architectural leadership, mentoring engineering teams, and ensuring successful business outcomes.
n
This role combines strategic leadership with hands-on technical depth, working closely with customer stakeholders, engineering teams, and Microsoft account representatives to shape platform evolution and technical strategy.
n
Ideally you will have strong expertise in Azure, distributed data platforms, and modern software architecture, alongside the communication and leadership skills to influence and advise at C-level.

Role Responsibilities Architecture & Engineering Leadership
n
n
Lead the design and delivery of complex cloud and data solutions on Azure
n
Produce and assure both high-level and low-level architecture designs
n
Define standards, patterns, and best practices across engineering teams
n
Provide technical oversight across multiple concurrent workstreams
n
Ensure solutions meet requirements for scalability, performance, and security
n
Mentor and coach engineering teams on modern engineering practices
n
Support upskilling in areas such as data engineering, DevOps, and automation
n
Champion continuous improvement and engineering excellence
n
Act as a trusted technical advisor to CTO-level stakeholders
n
Lead technical workshops, discovery sessions, and design forums
n
Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to technical and non-technical audiences
n
Build strong relationships with customer leadership and engineering teams
n
Attend on-site client meetings and collaborative sessions as required
n

Microsoft Engagement & Strategic Alignment
n
n
Collaborate with Microsoft account teams on product alignment and roadmap planning
n
Stay informed on platform evolution to influence customer adoption strategies
n
Identify opportunities for joint innovation and capability uplift
n
Contribute to statements of work, proposals, estimates, and roadmaps
n
Help identify technical risks and define mitigation strategies
n
Support governance, reporting, and stakeholder alignment activities
n

Key Skills, Knowledge & Experience
n
Software & Data
n
n
C#: Deep expertise in .NET development and building high-performance applications.
n
SQL: Robust database design, advanced query writing, and performance tuning skills.
n
Apache Spark: Hands-on experience developing and optimizing distributed data-processing pipelines.
n
PySpark: Proven ability to deliver production-grade Spark workloads in PySpark; Scala familiarity beneficial.
n
KQL: Solid experience writing effective Kusto queries for analytics and monitoring.
n
Azure networking and Entra ID
n
Event-driven architectures: Event Grid, Event Hub, Service Bus
n
Design of Landing Zones and Enterprise Data Mesh architectures
n
Azure Databricks (5+ years)
n
Azure Fabric / Synapse (3+ years)

Experience with Microsoft Purview and governance frameworks
