Role & Responsibilities
Design, build, document, and support secure REST APIs to enable seamless information exchange across core enterprise platforms and external entities.
Implement API standards, naming conventions, versioning, and technical documentation while establishing reusable integration patterns.
Configure and manage API policies, throttling, logging, and monitoring using Azure API Management or equivalent gateway services.
Ensure secure API access by implementing robust authentication and authorisation mechanisms (OAuth, JWT, certificates)



in collaboration with cyber security specialists.
Partner closely with Integration Architects, developers, and testing teams to assist with consumer onboarding, defect resolution, and performance tuning.
Drive delivery within an Agile framework to support MVP releases and ongoing roadmap iterations.

Skills & Experience

To be successful in this position, you will ideally bring:
Technical Toolkit: Azure API Management (or equivalent API gateway technology), REST APIs, .NET / C#, JSON, XML, OAuth, JWT, and certificate-based security patterns.
Experience: Robust background in API design and enterprise integration, with demonstrated experience troubleshooting distributed systems and exposure to event-driven architectures or asynchronous messaging.
Core Capabilities: Proven success navigating complex, highly regulated government settings and working collaboratively within Agile multidisciplinary delivery teams.
