As our team grows, we are seeking a skilled and reliable Painter (Painting Trades Worker) to join us on a full-time basis.
About the Role As a Painter at Singh Scaffolding Pty Ltd, you will apply paint, varnish, and other protective and decorative finishes to buildings and structures across a range of residential and commercial project sites.
Working alongside our scaffolding operations, you will benefit from safe, productive access to all surfaces, and be part of a team that takes pride in delivering quality results on every job.
Key Duties Responsibilities Your duties will include: Erecting scaffolding and ladders, and placing drop sheets to protect adjacent areas from paint splattering Preparing surfaces by removing old paint and wallpaper, fixing woodwork, filling holes and cracks, and smoothing and sealing surfaces prior to painting Selecting and preparing paints to required colours by mixing portions of pigment, oil, and thinning and drying additives Applying paints, varnishes, and stains to interior and exterior surfaces using brushes, rollers, and spray equipment Hanging wallpaper, matching patterns,



and trimming edges where required Completing specialty coatings and protective finishes on commercial and construction sites as required Inspecting completed work to ensure a high-quality and consistent finish Cleaning equipment, tools, and work areas on completion of work Requirements AQF Certificate III in Painting and Decorating (CPC*****) including at least two years of on-the-job training, or AQF Certificate IV Proven experience of at least 1 year as a qualified Painter in residential or commercial settings Proficiency in brush, roller, and spray painting across interior and exterior surfaces Experience with surface preparation, colour mixing, and protective and decorative coatings White Card (Construction Induction) — mandatory Valid driver's licence — preferred for travel between project sites Ability to work at heights and on scaffolding in compliance with workplace safety requirements Registration or licensing may be required At least three years of relevant experience may substitute for formal qualifications What We Offer Competitive trade rates commensurate with experience and qualifications Full-time, stable employment with consistent project work The advantage of working alongside an experienced scaffolding team, safe, well-structured site access on every job A professional and safety-focused working environment Variety of project types across residential and commercial construction ?
