Job details Competitive Hourly Rate | 3-month contract Site based role, Day shift only Influence safety outcomes across critical energy operations About the Client Our client is a major government-owned energy provider with a diverse portfolio of generation assets, including thermal, wind, solar, and hybrid systems across Western Australia.
Their Generation Business Unit plans and delivers vital construction and infrastructure projects that support the states energy future.
About the Position We are seeking an experienced Senior Health and Safety Advisor to provide practical safety leadership and technical support across operational energy sites.
Working closely with leaders, workers, and contractors, you will support the delivery of health and safety programs, provide expert risk management advice, and contribute to a strong safety culture.
This role plays a key part in ensuring compliance with legislative requirements, supporting operational decision-making, and driving continuous improvement in health and safety performance.
Key Responsibilities Monitor compliance with health and safety standards, systems, and legislation Conduct site audits, inspections, and compliance reviews Investigate incidents, hazards, and safety events Support and review ICAM investigations and corrective actions Provide practical advice on risk management and hazard controls Recommend safety improvements and preventative measures Support emergency preparedness and response processes Partner with operational teams, contractors,
and stakeholders to improve safety performance Skills and Experience Required Tertiary qualification in Health Safety, or Diploma/Cert IV in WHS Solid understanding of the WA Work Health and Safety Act **** and Regulations Experience conducting incident investigations and risk assessments Minimum 2 years' experience in a Health and Safety role Experience within power generation, energy, resources, or heavy industry environments ICAM Lead Facilitator training or investigation experience (preferred) Knowledge of dangerous goods, hazardous substances, and emergency response (preferred) Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills Current WA C Class Driver's Licence How to Apply: Click on the Apply button to submit your application or for more information please contact: WorkPac Principal Consultant: Georgia Guy on************** or ****** quoting the below reference number.
