Project Manager – Cloud
We are seeking a capable and motivated Project Manager to support the delivery of cloud and application modernisation initiatives within a leading higher education organisation.
This role is well suited to someone who has hands‐on exposure to transitioning legacy applications and supporting their operation on AWS and/or Azure, and who brings a positive, adaptable mindset to complex environments.
WHAT'S ON OFFER
$140,000 base + super
2-year Fixed Term Contract, with possibility of extension
Hybrid working model, 2 days in office.
Prospect to grow capability in cloud and enterprise delivery
THE ROLE
Support and manage end-to-end delivery of cloud and application modernisation projects
Assist with transitioning legacy applications to run effectively on AWS and/or Azure
Coordinate project planning, scheduling, dependencies, risks, and issues using PPM tools
Use Jira to track delivery progress, actions, and milestones
Work closely with technical teams, vendors, and business stakeholders to ensure smooth delivery
Support governance, reporting, and compliance with organisational standards
Contribute to business readiness, change, and adoption activities
Maintain clear communication across IT, security, and business teams

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
Experience supporting or delivering IT, cloud, or application‐related projects
Exposure to legacy systems and an understanding of modernisation or cloud transition concepts
Practical experience working with AWS and/or Azure environments
Experience using PPM tools and Jira
A positive attitude, strong learning mindset, and adaptability in changing environments
Solid stakeholder engagement and communication skills
Understanding of Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid delivery approaches
Experience in higher education or other large, complex organisations will be highly regarded but is not essential.
