Job Description
We are looking for a Mid-Junior Data Engineer to join a well-regarded consultancy and work on enterprise-scale data solutions.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a data professional eager to develop their skills in AWS and Databricks, while contributing to exciting, large-scale projects and learning from experienced senior engineers.
You'll be working closely with a collaborative team to design, build, and maintain data pipelines, while gaining exposure to modern data practices and cloud technologies.
Compensation
Base pay range: A$******/daily - A$******/daily

Key Responsibilities
Build and maintain data pipelines and processing solutions using AWS and Databricks.
Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to understand business requirements.
Support the implementation of scalable, secure, and high-performing data solutions.
Assist in troubleshooting and resolving platform or data pipeline issues.
Contribute to the documentation and governance of data processes and standards.
Learn and apply best practices under the guidance of senior engineers.

Skills & Experience
1-3 years of experience in data engineering or similar role.
Knowledge of AWS Cloud Services and Databricks (or strong interest in learning).
Experience with SQL and at least one programming language (e.g., Python).
Understanding of data pipelines, ETL processes, and data modelling concepts.
Strong problem-solving skills and eagerness to learn.
Experience in enterprise or consultancy environments.
Knowledge of data governance, compliance, and security best practices.
Familiarity with Azure, GCP, or other cloud platforms.
