Junior Basketball Academy (JBA) is seeking enthusiastic Learn to Play Basketball Instructors to join our growing coaching team across Sydney.

Whether you're a current coach, university student, athlete, teacher, sport enthusiast, or someone who simply loves helping children learn and grow, we'd love to hear from you.

What You'll Do
Deliver engaging, beginner-focused basketball sessions
Teach fundamental skills including dribbling, passing, shooting and teamwork
Create a safe, positive and inclusive environment
Inspire confidence and participation in young players
Support the setup and pack down of sessions
Be a positive ambassador for JBA and The Y NSW

We're Looking For People Who




Enjoy working with children and young people
Bring energy, enthusiasm and positivity to every session
Have basketball playing or coaching experience (desirable, not essential)
Are reliable, approachable and keen to develop their coaching skills
Share our commitment to creating safe and inclusive environments for children

Essential Requirements
Working With Children Check (WWCC) or willingness to obtain
First Aid & CPR Certificate or willingness to obtain
Passion for helping young people learn and thrive through sport
