Youth Homelessness Team Leader (Case Work)
Youth Off The Streets is a not‐for‐profit organisation that provides safety, support and opportunities for young people to build a positive future.
Our services include crisis accommodation and housing support, alternative high school education, alcohol and other drugs counselling, youth justice programs, life skills and employment pathways, cultural support and community engagement.

As the Youth Homelessness Team Leader Case Work, you will lead a team of Intake Workers and Case Workers delivering responsive, strengths‐based and trauma‐informed support to young people experiencing or at risk of homelessness in Marrickville.
You'll guide staff in embedding best‐practice case work, ensuring services are safe, effective and aligned with YOTS practice frameworks.
Your leadership will focus on capability building, service quality, stakeholder engagement and operational oversight.
You'll support staff to deliver consistent, high‐quality case management, maintain robust relationships with partner organisations, and ensure young people feel respected, supported and empowered throughout their journey.
This role is based in Marrickville and works closely with the Operations Manager, Crisis Accommodation Team Lead, and other Youth Support Services teams.
What you'll do:
Lead, support and supervise Intake Workers and Case Workers
Provide coaching, guidance and performance feedback to build capability and confidence
Oversee case planning,



support coordination and service delivery
Ensure case work reflects YOTS practice frameworks and best‐practice standards
Build strong relationships with community organisations, service providers and stakeholders
Represent Youth Off The Streets at interagency meetings and relevant forums
Strengthen referral pathways and partnerships to improve outcomes for young people
Oversee program operations, site requirements, rostering and compliance
Manage data collection, record keeping and monthly reporting to AIHW (Validate or contracted systems)
Manage outcome reporting (PWI and CoS) and Vacancy Management system
Contribute to audits, continuous improvement and service quality
Support project development, funding submissions and strategic planning
Identify risks, emerging issues and opportunities for service enhancement
Uphold child‐safe practices and contribute to a culturally safe environment
Maintain strong professional relationships with internal teams and external partners
What you'll bring:
Minimum 2 years' experience in a management or team leader role
Minimum 5 years' experience in youth work and case work
Demonstrated ability to lead and support staff in service delivery environments
Strong communication, advocacy and relationship‐building skills
Ability to work respectfully with diverse cultural backgrounds and community expectations
Understanding of trauma‐informed, developmentally‐informed and strengths‐based approaches
Experience with reporting, data collection and compliance requirements
Strong organisational skills and ability to manage competing priorities




Ability to respond calmly and therapeutically in crisis situations
Commitment to ongoing professional development
Understanding of child‐safe principles and cultural safety practices
