Job Description
Lead projects from initiation through to completion.
n
Develop project scopes, execution plans, schedules, and budgets.
n
Monitor project progress against milestones and implement corrective actions where required.
n
Manage project risks, issues, and opportunities.
n
Coordinate internal resources and external contractors.
n
Control project costs and manage budget performance.
n
Prepare progress reports and present project status to management and clients.
n
Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
n
Manage project documentation, change control, and close-out activities.
n
Provide technical leadership throughout project execution.
n
Provide engineering support, design, and documentation for all services and products to clients and company employees
n
Review and approve engineering designs, calculations, drawings, and specifications.
n
Ensure compliance with relevant Australian Standards, client specifications, and statutory requirements.
n
Resolve complex engineering and technical issues.
n
Support engineering innovation and continuous improvement.
n
Provide technical guidance to designers and technicians.
n
Participate in engineering reviews including HAZOPs, constructability reviews, and design verification.
n

n

Client & Stakeholder Management
n
Act as the primary technical and project interface with clients.
n
Develop and maintain strong customer relationships.
n
Facilitate project meetings and technical workshops.
n
Manage subcontractors, consultants, and suppliers.
n
Liaise with operations, finance, quality, and HSE teams.
n
Commercial Responsibilities
n
Assist with proposal preparation and estimating.
n
Review contracts and technical specifications.
n
Manage project variations and claims.
n
Monitor project profitability.
n
Support business development opportunities through existing client relationships.
n
Health, Safety, Quality & Workplace
n
Promote a strong safety culture.
n
Ensure compliance with company HSE policies and client requirements.
n
Participate in risk assessments and Job Safety Analyses.
n
Ensure quality management processes are followed.
n
Support incident investigations and implementation of corrective actions.
n
Leadership
n
Mentor graduate and junior engineers.
n
Foster collaboration across departments.
n
Contribute to the development of the department and strive to make continuous improvement through feedback and experience.
n
Actively promote the Core Values within all work-based activities.
n
Requirements
n
Minimum tertiary qualification in Mechanical Engineering from a recognised institution.
n
Registered Professional Engineer status from a recognized engineering organization highly desirable.
n
Project Management background and experience in an
engineering/manufacturing
environment is desirable
n
High level of computer literacy, with good working knowledge of MS Office Suite, SolidWorks and AutoCAD experience is highly desirable.
n
Experience in an industrial engineering service environment highly regarded.
n
Ability or experience working within a certified Integrated Management System (Quality, Safety and Environment) highly regarded.
n
Strong attention to detail.
n
Flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities and work demands.
n
Excellent leadership, organisational and problem solving skills.
n
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
n
