As an Optometrist, you will play a vital role in our commitment to providing exceptional vision care and optical services to our community, whilst contributing to the success and reputation of our practice.

Key responsibilities

Conducting comprehensive eye examinations and vision assessments for patients of all ages
n
Diagnosing and managing common eye conditions and refractive errors
n
Prescribing and fitting spectacles and contact lenses to meet individual patient needs
n
Providing advice on eye health, vision correction options and preventative care
n
Recording accurate patient information and maintaining detailed clinical records
n
Recognising and referring patients with serious eye conditions to appropriate specialists
n
Building strong relationships with patients to ensure their satisfaction and loyalty
n
Contributing to the overall success of the practice through excellent customer service and professionalism
n
Staying current with developments in optometry and optical technology
n

What we're looking for
n
n
A valid Australian Optometry qualification and current registration with the Optometry Board of Australia
n
A willingness to obtain or maintain Ophthalmology Therapeutic Goods Authorisation (TGA) if required by the role
n
Strong clinical examination skills and the ability to make accurate diagnoses
n
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to work effectively with patients and colleagues
n
A patient-centred approach with a commitment to delivering high-quality eye care
n
The ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team
n
A qualified and friendly demeanour that reflects our practice values
n
Flexibility to work part-time or full-time hours but must be available to work 1 weekend day
n
Previous experience in a busy optical practice is advantageous
