Maintenance Fitter - Afternoon Shift - FMCG Experience Needed

Join a high-performing team supporting advanced manufacturing operations in Port Melbourne. This hands-on afternoon shift

role is ideal for a mechanically minded skilled who thrives on precision, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

n

Afternoon shift: Monday to Friday, 2:00 PM - 10:00 PM

n

Key Responsibilities

n

Perform preventative and reactive maintenance on plant machinery and equipment

n

Diagnose faults in hydraulic, pneumatic, and vacuum systems

n

Carry out mechanical fitting, repairs, and fabrication work as needed

n

Support reliability and continuous improvement initiatives

n

Maintain accurate service and maintenance records

n

Collaborate closely with production and engineering teams to ensure operational continuity

n

Qualifications & Experiences

n

Trade qualified Mechanical Fitter or Fitter & Turner

n

FMCG Experience (highly regarded)

n

Proven experience in industrial or manufacturing maintenance

n

Robust understanding of hydraulic, pneumatic, and vacuum systems

n





Confident fault-finding and diagnostic skills

n

Able to work independently and within a team environment

n

Safety-focused with a commitment to quality

n

Forklift licence, boom lift (over 11m) and scissor lift tickets (highly regarded)

n

Working at Heights certification (highly regarded)

n

First Aid certificate (highly regarded)

n

Basic Rigging ticket (highly regarded)

n
