Positions are available across several regional Victorian health services, with both full-time and part-time permanent appointments.
n The Opportunity As a Consultant Psychiatrist, you will join established multidisciplinary Mental Health Services delivering specialist psychiatric care across inpatient, community and crisis settings.
n Depending on your interests and experience, your responsibilities may include:
n

Providing specialist psychiatric assessment, diagnosis and treatment
n
Leading multidisciplinary clinical teams
n
Supervising Registrars, Junior Medical Officers and medical students
n
Teaching through established university partnerships
n
Participating in service planning, clinical governance and quality improvement
n
Contributing to service development and Mental Health reform initiatives
n
Developing subspecialty interests and leadership responsibilities
n
n
These health services continue to invest significantly in Mental Health through service expansion, redevelopment projects and Consultant-led models of care.

UK Consultant Psychiatrists If you hold a UK CCT or CCST in Psychiatry, you may be eligible to apply through the RANZCP Expedited Specialist Pathway, providing a streamlined route towards Specialist Registration and Consultant practice in Australia.
