We are seeking a super senior, certified, highly technical Shopify Developer who can architect, build, and optimise enterprise‐grade Shopify Plus/Headless solutions. This is not a theme‐tweaking role.
n
Architect scalable Shopify solutions across themes, custom apps, integrations, and Shopify Functions.
n
Lead and mentor developers, owning code quality, standards, and technical direction.
n
Build custom themes using Liquid, JSON templates, and modern front‐end practices.
n
Develop custom Shopify apps (Node/React/Ruby) and implement complex business logic.
n
Own API and integration workflows, including Admin API, Storefront API, GraphQL, and webhooks.
n
Optimise performance across storefront speed, SEO, accessibility, and Lighthouse metrics.
n
Conduct code reviews & ensure technical rigor across all builds.
n
Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues, platform limitations, and integration failures.
n
Collaborate with PMs and designers to estimate, plan sprints, and deliver high‐quality releases on time.
n
Advise clients and teams on best practices, technical constraints, and optimal platform solutions.
n
Technical Skills
n
n
5–8+ years in Shopify development, with at least 3+ years at a senior or lead level.
n
Expert‐level Liquid and deep understanding of Shopify's rendering model
n
Shopify Functions
n
Theme architecture & modular component patterns
n
Checkout extensibility
n




JavaScript/TypeScript
n
Contemporary frameworks (React preferred)
n
Solid experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment workflows.
n
Multi‐store, multi‐region,
internationalisation
n
3rd‐party integrations (ERP, OMS, WMS, CRM, subscriptions, loyalty)
n
Shopify app ecosystem and partner platforms
n
Shopify Plus expertise: multi‐store, markets, multi‐region,
internationalisation.
n
Strong understanding of the app ecosystem and when each app is (or isn't) appropriate.
n
Experience working with security, compliance, and large‐scale data migrations.
