About the role:
n
Reporting to the Commercial Manager, you will be responsible for providing commercial leadership across a portfolio of rail station projects, ensuring robust cost management, contractual compliance, and commercial outcomes throughout the project lifecycle.
n
Key responsibilities include:
n
n
Managing project cost forecasting, reporting and budgeting.
n
Administering head contracts and subcontract agreements.
n
Preparing, assessing and negotiating variations and claims.
n
Managing subcontractor procurement, payment and performance.
n
Identifying and mitigating commercial risk.
n
Supporting project delivery teams with commercial advice and decision-making.
n
Developing solid relationships with clients, consultants and key stakeholders.
n
Contributing to the successful commercial delivery of a high-profile rail infrastructure program
n

You will bring:
n
n
Significant experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor within major infrastructure, rail or civil construction projects.
n
Robust knowledge of Australian construction contracts and commercial management practices.
n
Experience administering complex contracts, variations and claims.
n
Excellent analytical, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
n
A cooperative approach with the ability to influence project outcomes.
n
A relevant tertiary qualification in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Commercial Management or a related discipline.
