As part of our continued project work, we are seeking a skilled Architectural Draftsperson to support the preparation of accurate drawings, plans and technical documentation for our design projects.
Job description: We are seeking a skilled and motivated Architectural Draftsperson to prepare detailed architectural drawings, plans and documentation for retail, hospitality, residential, multi-residential and commercial design projects.
The role will involve converting design concepts, sketches and project requirements into accurate technical documentation, and liaising with clients, builders, consultants and other stakeholders to support project delivery from concept design through to implementation.
The Tasks for the Position Include: Prepare detailed architectural drawings, plans, elevations, sections, schedules and documentation for retail, hospitality, residential, multi-residential and commercial design projects.
Convert design concepts, sketches, client briefs and mark-ups into accurate technical drawings using CAD,



BIM and other architectural drafting software.
Assist with the preparation of concept design, design development, construction documentation, tender documentation and approval drawings under the direction of senior designers, building designers or project leads.
Interpret client requirements, site information, planning controls, building codes, Australian Standards and project specifications to support accurate and compliant drafting work.
Conduct site measurements, review existing conditions and prepare measured drawings to support design, documentation and construction processes.
Prepare and update floor plans, reflected ceiling plans, joinery drawings, fixture layouts, finishes schedules, door and window schedules, construction details and other project documentation.
Coordinate drafting information with internal design team members, including building designers, interior designers and other project staff, to ensure design intent is accurately reflected in architectural and building documentation.
Revise and maintain project drawings and documentation in response to client feedback, consultant comments, site changes, authority requirements and construction updates.
Assist with preparing material, finish, fixture,



fitting and joinery information required for architectural, interior and construction documentation packages.
Maintain organised project files, drawing registers, document control records and version histories to ensure accurate project administration.
Apply workplace procedures for quality assurance, confidentiality, file management, communication and skilled presentation of design documentation.
Maintain current knowledge of architectural drafting practices, building design documentation, relevant software, construction methods, materials, NCC requirements and industry standards.
The Skills Required for This Position Are: Holds an AQF Associate Degree, Advanced Diploma, Diploma or higher qualification in Architecture or a related field Minimum 1 year of relevant experience as an Architectural Draftsperson, Building Drafting Officer, Building Designer, Drafting Technician or similar role.
Strong proficiency in Revit and Archicad with the ability to produce detailed construction documentation Basic understanding of Enscape and D5 or similar rendering software would be beneficial Solid understanding of Australian construction standards and council approval processes Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to resolve design and technical challenges Excellent communication and collaboration skills when working with clients and consultants Application Process: Interested candidates are invited to submit their resume and a cover letter detailing their relevant drafting experience and qualifications to ************************.
