About the Role

n

We're after an enthusiastic Kitchen Hand who takes pride in keeping the kitchen running smoothly. You'll play a key role in supporting our chefs, maintaining a clean and safe kitchen, and helping ensure our stock is always fresh and well organised.

n

Key Responsibilities

n

n
Receiving, checking, and rotating stock deliveries to maintain freshness and minimise waste
n
Maintaining a clean, organised, and safe kitchen environment at all times
n
Washing dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment efficiently during service
n
Assisting chefs with basic food preparation as required
n
Managing time effectively to keep up with the pace of a busy kitchen
n




Identifying and resolving day-to-day issues quickly and calmly
n
Following food hygiene and safety standards at all times
n
Working autonomously on assigned tasks while also collaborating well within the wider kitchen team
n

Skills & Experience Required

n

n
Previous experience in a kitchen hand or similar role preferred
n
Experience receiving and rotating stock in a food service setting
n
Strong time management and organisational skills
n
Good problem-solving ability and a proactive attitude
n
Solid understanding of food hygiene and safety practices
n
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
n
A current Food Safety Handling certificate (or willingness to obtain one)
n
Availability to work flexible hours, evenings and weekends
n
