Queensland-based role with excellent WFH flexibility 30 Hours per Week Genuine temporary to permanent prospect We are partnering with a small, purpose-driven not-for-profit membership organisation to recruit a Finance and Operations Officer for an initial temporary assignment.
With fantastic WFH flexibility, this role offers approximately 30 hours per week, with the freedom to structure those hours around normal business hours.
You'll combine your Xero and bookkeeping skills with broader operational support across events, membership and professional development activities.
The Role Reporting to the Corporate Services Manager, you will be responsible for the following: Providing general operational and administrative support across the organisation Raising invoices, processing payments and managing receivables Supporting payroll preparation for a small team Investigating and resolving finance and payment queries Supporting event registrations and management Maintaining membership records and assisting with renewals and enquiries About You To be successful in this role you will ideally have; Good practical bookkeeping and accounting knowledge Experience using Xero for invoicing, payments and reconciliations Excellent attention to detail A systematic, process-oriented approach Strong organisation and the ability to manage competing priorities Confidence working independently from home A proactive and naturally inquisitive approach A willingness to learn new systems and processes A helpful, service-oriented approach when dealing with stakeholders On Offer Approximately 30 hours per week Flexibility around how your hours are structured Genuine temporary to permanent opportunity Immediate start Varied responsibilities across finance event operations Small, collaborative team environment The flexibility could particularly appeal if you're looking for a 4 day week, school-hours-friendly arrangement or simply a shorter working week without stepping away from meaningful, responsible work.
