About The Role
n
We are looking for Youth Lead Practitioners to support adolescents and young adults aged 9-25 as they navigate life with a disability, from adolescence through to early adulthood.
n
As a Youth Lead Practitioner at Everyday Independence, no two days will be the same. If you were here last week, these are some of the things you may have done:
n
n
Led the interdisciplinary youth team that plans a young person's NDIS funded therapy package, acting as the main contact for adolescent and young adult participants and their families
n
Utilised assessment and intervention skills to support youth participants to achieve their educational, personal, social,
and working life goals
n
Worked within the social model which means you'll have worked and delivered therapy in diverse settings, from homes and schools to playgrounds, workplaces and community centres
n
Held meaningful, future-focused conversations with participants and their supports
n
Empowered participants and their families to develop habits and routines
n
Built meaningful relationships with your participants and their supports (family, carers, friends)
n
Documented, and billed for, each session through our online participant management system
n
Attended the weekly team meeting in the Hub, sharing stories of impact, coffee and laughs
n
You'll have met with your Team Leader and Therapy Mentor to tap into their clinical knowledge and/or support
n

Who We Are Looking For
n

To work as a Youth Lead Practitioner, you will have a relevant tertiary qualification and registration.
n
n
If you are a Youth Worker, you will have a Bachelor of Master's degree in Youth Work and YWA membership
n
If you are a Social Worker, you will have a Bachelor or Master's degree in Social Work and AASW membership
n
If you are a Specialist Educator, you will have a Bachelor or Master's degree in Special Education and AASE membership
n
If you are a Registered Nurse, you will have a Bachelor of Nursing and AHPRA registration
n
n
You will also need:
n
n
Minimum 12 months experience working with youth aged 9-25
n
A positive and flexible approach to work
n
Solid communication skills and be a team player
n
Commitment to personal and professional growth
n
Demonstrated experience working with people with a disability
n
Willingness to work to billable targets
n
A valid Australian driver's license
n
NDIS Workers Screening Check
n
Working with Children's Check
n
