Your current company A rapidly expanding national business in the services sector is seeking a hands-on Finance Manager to join their Sydney office. With a solid client base across Australia, this privately owned group is experiencing significant growth and offers a clear pathway to Financial Controller.

Your new role Reporting directly to the CFO, you will play a pivotal role in managing day-to-day finance operations while supporting strategic initiatives. This is a high-priority appointment designed to relieve the CFO of routine tasks and strengthen the finance function during a period of rapid expansion.

Key Responsibilities:

n

n
Oversee month-end and year-end close, budgeting, forecasting, and cash-flow management.
n
Prepare BAS, ABS and statutory returns for CFO review.
n
Support debtor management and collaborate with the AR Manager.
n
Assist with financial review of new contracts and pricing for tenders.
n
Lead financial audits and liaise with external accountants.
n




Drive process improvements and reporting enhancements.
n
Build strong relationships across finance, HR, and payroll teams.
n

What you'll need to succeed

n

n
Proven experience in reviewing AP/AR, payroll, preparing for month-end/year-end close, budgeting, forecasting and analysis.
n
Strong technical and analytical skills with attention to detail.
n
Ability to build credibility and trust with leadership and team members.
n
Proactive, collaborative approach with a willingness to roll up your sleeves.
n
MYOB experience preferred.
n
