About the role: We are seeking a Laboratory Analyst to join a high-performing Inorganic Chemistry laboratory. This is a hands-on role focused on sample preparation and trace element analysis using advanced instrumentation. This is a full time contract (6 months) with strong potential for extension (up to 18 months total).

Duties:
n
n
Prepare environmental, food, and pharmaceutical samples
n
Conduct trace element analysis using ICP-MS / ICP-OES
n
Operate and perform basic maintenance on lab instruments
n
Assist with data analysis and reporting
n
Follow strict QA/QC, WHS, and SOP procedures
n
Work to deadlines in a quick-paced lab environment
n
n
Skills/experience: To be considered, you MUST have:
n
n
Australian Citizenship (mandatory – non-negotiable)
n
Ability to obtain Baseline Security Clearance
n
Recent hands-on laboratory experience
n
Experience with sample preparation for chemical analysis
n
Understanding of QA/QC processes in regulated environments
n
n
Highly desirable:
n
n
Exposure to ICP-MS / ICP-OES
n
Experience in environmental, food, or pharmaceutical labs
n
NATA or GMP laboratory experience
n
n
