YMCA Redlands Community Centre are recruiting committed Land Care Assistant on a Full time Fixed Term basis to join our team located in Victoria Point

About The Role

n

As a Land Care Assistant is focused on providing conservation and land care services to the YMCA and key community stakeholders of the YMCA. This includes caring for, nurturing and maintaining landscapes within the community and understanding the local flora and fauna, and methods to conserve and protect the local setting.

What will my time look like?

n

n
Select and use relevant personal protective equipment appropriate for various land care task types
n
Maintaining hedges, lawns, gardens and natural environments through weeding, hedging, mowing, watering and other basic conservation and horticultural activities
n
Undertake employability training such as mentoring, coaching, and industry site visits
n
Reporting on conservation and program progress which may include basic report writing, photograph collation and printing
n
Basic gardening, planning, design, construction and/or repair as required{
