TheChange and Project Management Office (CaPMO) within the Department ofinfrastructure, transport, regional development and
communications,Sport
and the Arts (the department) is seeking a Business Analyst toundertake research, discovery and analysis of business requirements, toscope, design and implement an online Program and Project Management andReporting Tool (PPMRT).
n
The BA will:
n
n
Review current project management processes, reporting, and frameworks.
n
Engagewith stakeholders, such as project managers, business owners, seniorresponsible officers, etc., to gather and validate functional andnon-functional requirements from a project perspective.
n
Document current and future state workflows to inform system design and change planning.
n
Develop a Business Requirements document, including functional and non-functional specifications.
n
Support the development of a Project Management Plan (PMP) by aligning requirements with delivery scope.
n
Facilitate communication between technical teams and business stakeholders, ensuring mutual understanding and agreement.
n
Producerelevant artefacts and actively participate (and at times lead) instakeholder workshops, meetings, and stakeholder sessions.
n
Assess initiative-level reporting needs and determine feasibility of integrating them into the PPMRT.
n
Evaluate existing internal systems for potential use in initiative tracking, including hybrid options.
n
Reviewa customised version of a PPMRT used by another department to
assessadaptability.
Provide a recommendation report outlining viable optionsfor government initiative-level reporting, including risks anddependencies.
