Our client at Port Botany is keen to hear from an experienced Fitter/Mechanic looking for an on going view to a Permanent work position.

We have exciting opportunities for experienced Fitter/Mechanic in Port Botany. As a member of our service team, you'll handle equipment upgrades, overhauls, maintenance, fault finding and repairs on heavy complex assets across various industries. The role demands both independent fieldwork and team-oriented efforts on larger projects. We value energetic individuals with a background in heavy industry or experience with automated equipment. An ability to work at heights is necessary.

The weekday casual rate of pay starts from $57 per hour plus a $30 a day travel allowance (maximum $150 per week). The full time rate of pay after six months is $55.00 per hour plus travel allowance and full leave entitlements. Afternoon and weekend paid + shift allowance.

Trade qualification Fitter/Mechanic with at least 3 to 5 years post-trade experience
n
Understand and comply with WHS policies
n
Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Ability to build solid relationships with colleagues and customers

Be a motivated, self-starter; with a professional attitude
n
Have ability to work under pressure with excellent time management.
n
Criminal check and Maritime Security Identification Card may be required after two months of employment.

Able to work at hights, is a must on these ship to shore crane's.
