An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Commercial Lawyer with 2-4 years' PAE to join a well-established and highly regarded law firm based in Gordon on Sydney's North Shore.

The Opportunity

Working closely with experienced practitioners, you will advise a diverse client base across a broad range of commercial matters. The role offers plenty of variety and hands-on involvement, including:
n

Drafting, reviewing and negotiating a range of commercial agreements and contracts
n
Advising on business sales and acquisitions and other corporate and commercial transactions
n
Acting on commercial leasing matters
n
Providing practical advice on commercial risk, regulatory and compliance issues
n
Advising on privacy and data-related obligations
n
Preparing legal opinions and delivering commercially focused advice directly to clients
n
Assisting with commercial disputes and dispute resolution where required
n
Working collaboratively with lawyers across the firm's complementary practice areas
n
Developing strong relationships with business owners and commercial clients
n

This is an opportunity to build a broad commercial practice rather than being confined to a narrow area of work.

About You
n
You will be an Australian-admitted solicitor with approximately 2-4 years' post-admission experience, ideally gained within a commercial or general business law practice.
n
You will also bring:
n
n
Solid experience drafting and negotiating commercial contracts
n
Exposure to business transactions, commercial leasing and general commercial advisory work
n
Strong commercial judgment and an ability to identify and manage legal risk
n
The ability to provide clear, practical and commercially minded advice
n
Strong drafting, research and analytical skills
n
Excellent communication and client-facing capabilities
n
Strong attention to detail and file management skills
n
The ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines
n
A collaborative approach and an interest in working within a close-knit team
n
n
Experience with privacy and regulatory compliance matters will be well regarded, while exposure to commercial disputes, court matters or alternative dispute resolution would also be advantageous.
