Power BI With Data Modelling

Location: Sydney (Onsite) Contract
n
We are seeking an experienced Power BI Developer with strong expertise in Data Modelling, SSIS, and Power BI to support the enhancement and optimization of enterprise reporting solutions.
n
Key Responsibilities
n
n
Fine-tune and optimize existing data models to improve reporting performance and scalability.
n
Design, develop, and maintain efficient data models for Power BI reporting.
n
Develop and enhance SSIS packages to extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from multiple source systems.
n
Integrate new data feeds from various source systems into the existing data warehouse and reporting environment.
n
Build and optimize Power BI datasets, reports, and dashboards to deliver accurate and actionable business insights.
n
Improve query performance using optimized data modelling techniques and DAX.
n




Collaborate with business stakeholders and technical teams to understand reporting requirements and implement scalable solutions.
n
Perform data validation, troubleshooting, and performance tuning across ETL and reporting layers.
n
Ensure data quality, consistency, and governance throughout the reporting lifecycle.
n

Required Skills
n
n
5+ years of experience in Business Intelligence or Data Engineering.
n
Strong experience in Data Modelling (Star Schema, Snowflake Schema, Dimensional Modelling).
n
Hands-on experience with Microsoft SSIS for ETL development and data integration.
n
Solid expertise in Power BI, including Power Query, DAX, data modelling, dashboards, and report development.
n
Experience working with SQL Server and writing complex SQL queries.
n
Knowledge of performance tuning and optimization for Power BI datasets and reports.
