Senior SHEQ Business Analyst - SAP S/4HANA Transformation - 12 Month Contract
We are seeking an experienced
Senior Business Analyst (SHEQ)
to join a major enterprise-wide
SAP S/4HANA transformation program
, leading business analysis activities across
Safety, Health, Environment and Quality (SHEQ)
initiatives as part of a significant ERP modernisation.
Location:
North Sydney – Hybrid (2–3 days in the office)
Duration:
12-month initial contract with a solid likelihood of extension
Day Rate:
$900–$1,200 including super, depending on experience
You will partner with SHEQ leaders, operational stakeholders, Solution Architects, SAP Functional Consultants and delivery teams to capture business requirements, redesign processes, and support the implementation of scalable technology solutions that enhance safety, compliance, risk management and operational performance.
You'll play a key role in defining future-state SHEQ capabilities, facilitating workshops, translating business requirements into solution outcomes, and ensuring new processes and systems are successfully embedded across the business.
Responsibilities
Lead end-to-end business analysis activities across SHEQ transformation initiatives, from discovery through to deployment and hypercare.
Facilitate stakeholder workshops, interviews and process reviews to capture business, functional and non-functional requirements.
Analyse current-state processes and design future-state solutions across incident management, hazard identification, risk management, audits and inspections, CAPA, environmental management, quality management, compliance, permit-to-work and contractor management.
Develop process maps, business rules, user stories, functional specifications and acceptance criteria.




Partner with Solution Architects and SAP Functional Consultants to validate solution designs and ensure alignment with business requirements.
Support backlog management, solution design, configuration, integration and reporting activities within Agile delivery teams.
Lead business participation in SIT and UAT, including test scenarios, validation scripts and defect management.
Collaborate with change management and project teams to support business readiness, deployment and adoption.
Build strong relationships with SHEQ stakeholders and act as the key liaison between business and technology teams.
Experience
Proven experience as a
Senior Business Analyst
delivering large-scale ERP or digital transformation programs.
Demonstrated experience working across
Safety, Health, Environment and Quality (SHEQ/HSE/EHS)
or Quality Management initiatives.
Strong understanding of Safety Management Systems, Risk & Compliance Frameworks, Environmental Management and Quality Management processes.
Extensive experience facilitating workshops, gathering requirements and leading business process modelling and process re-engineering activities.
Experience working across Agile, Waterfall or hybrid delivery environments.
Exposure to SAP EHS, SAP S/4HANA, SAP FSM or related SAP solutions is highly regarded.
Experience within asset-intensive industries such as utilities, engineering, infrastructure, telecommunications or transport is highly desirable.
Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex business challenges into practical technology solutions.
