ACM Healthcare is recruiting an experienced Hospital Pharmacist for an 8-week locum assignment at Alice Springs Hospital. This is an excellent opportunity to build on your acute hospital pharmacy experience while working within a supportive multidisciplinary team in Central Australia.

The Prospect

8-week locum assignment commencing on or around 27 July ****
n
$70–$85 per hour plus superannuation, depending on experience
n
Full-time hours
n
Return travel and accommodation provided in accordance with the assignment terms
n
Supportive acute hospital pharmacy team
n
Exposure to a diverse range of clinical presentations
n
n
The Role
n
You will provide clinical and operational pharmacy services across the hospital, including:
n
n
Ward-based clinical pharmacy
n
Medication reconciliation and medication reviews
n
Inpatient and discharge dispensing
n
Discharge medication management
n
Collaboration with medical, nursing and allied health teams
n
Supporting safe and effective medication use across the hospital

About You
n
To be considered, you will have:
n
n
Current general registration with AHPRA as a Pharmacist
n
Previous hospital pharmacy experience, ideally within an acute setting
n
Experience in clinical pharmacy, dispensing and medication reconciliation
n
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
n
The ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
n
Experience using Merlin pharmacy software is desirable but not essential. Pharmacists with experience using other hospital pharmacy systems who are confident learning a new platform are encouraged to apply.
